Wolverhampton Wanderers took a significant advantage in the race for seventh spot in the Premier League as we took victory over Watford on Saturday at Vicarage Road.

Goals from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota gave us a 2-1 victory on the day as we took some small revenge from the FA Cup disappointment the other week, and we now have a four point advantage on both them and Everton in the top flight table.

Statistics website Whoscored were obviously quite complimentary in their player ratings after that performance and Jota took their star man award to lift Man of the Match with a rating of 8.31 for his efforts.

Completing the top five best performers on the day were Ruben Neves (7.57), Raul Jimenez (7.56), Jonny Otto (7.46) and Leander Dendoncker (7.34).

All eyes to the remaining fixtures now and whilst Nuno is right in saying seventh spot guarantees nothing, it would be a fantastic end to the campaign and set a real marker for next season and then we’ll just have to see what the future holds.
