With poorer form again of late, Wolverhampton Wanderers went into today’s Premier League clash at the Molineux against a Cardiff City side we know well.

Wolves were more back at the races in the opening 45 minutes and inside of the first 20 we had control of the game, with two goals coming from Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez. Cardiff improved in the second period, or we stepped off – whichever way you look at it – and 2-0 was how it ended as we took another victory and all three points.

Statistics website Whoscored were clearly impressed with our efforts on the day and we had three players rated eight or above, and ten in total at seven or above.

Romain Saiss took their star man award with a score of 8.81 for his efforts on the day and he was quickly followed by Jimenez (8.71) and Jota (8.57). Completing the top five best performers according to their system were Leander Dendoncker (7.89) and Willy Boly (7.88).

Additional mentions for Matt Doherty, Ruben Vinagre, Ryan Bennett, Adama Traore and John Ruddy as our other seven rated players.
