With Wolverhampton Wanderers still looking for the first Premier League win of 2019/20, last night we welcomed Sporting Braga to the Molineux for our Group K Europa League clash.

Sadly, our European form deserted us when it came to the final result, and we suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat on the day, despite better dominating the clash and having plenty of chances to have taken the win.

Given we didn’t make our possession and chances count, statistics website Whoscored didn’t have great player ratings from the 90 minutes, but Academy graduate Morgan Gibbs-White took his chance to impress in midfield and took their Man of the Match with a score of 7.39.

The 19-year-old talent was the only player to get into a plus seven score range, so they had Willy Boly (6.98), Diogo Jota (6.78), Jonny (6.64) and Ruben Neves (6.62) as our top five best performers on the evening.

Plenty of points to play for in the qualification stage again though, but now it’s all eyes to this Sunday’s trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace where, hopefully, we’ll pick up our first win to get ourselves up and running.
