A poorer, by our own standards, performance by Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday saw us secure an FA Cup fourth round replay with League One side Shrewsbury Town.
After a goalless first half performance, having made some changes to the starting lineup for the game, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo sent on a few big guns in the second period as we found ourselves 2-0 down in the game and looking like we would be on the end of a Cup upset, but with 15 minutes remaining in the game, Raul Jimenez got on the scoresheet to give us hope and Matt Doherty secured the draw with a leveller three minutes into stoppage-time.
Statistics website Whoscored gave our saviour their star man rating with a score of 8.30 for 27-year-old Doherty.
Completing the top five best performers in their system were Adama Traore (7.83), Jimenez (7.03), Ivan Cavaleiro (6.86) and Ryan Bennett (6.65).
Back to top flight action for a bit until the replay cycles round and we will be looking for a more convincing performance back at the Molineux.
