Wolverhampton Wanderers have only 12 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Wolverhampton Wanderers find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 16th place in the table following a real tangible turn of form and results under new manager Paul Lambert, there’s plenty to smile about and one more victory means relegation is mathematically impossible.

Wolves were unbeaten in six until the slip ups against Bristol City and Brighton, but with victory over Leeds United we keep that ten point gap on Blackburn Rovers but do have a game in hand on them.

In fact we hold a game in hand on every side below us in the table as well, as things stand, that game in hand – if won – could see us close the gap on Cardiff City and Aston Villa to one point as we look to end the campaign by climbing the table another a few places.
