2 goals since 2018, 23 mins of football in 12 months – Wolves exit became nightmare for 26 y/o

It’s been nearly two years since Wolverhampton Wanderers sold Duckens Nazon and the fortunes of the two have gone in opposite directions. Wolves have more than consolidated in the Premier League, are targeting a top-six finish and have already played Europa League football.

Nazon, however, has failed to impress in Belgium and endured a disappointing loan spell in Scotland too. The 26-year-old’s lack of playing time back at his parent club could lead to a sale this summer, so what’s gone wrong since he left Wolves?

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

The Haitian international had one year remaining on his deal with Wolves when he joined Sint-Truidense VV in June 2018. Nazon has gone on to make seven appearances in all competitions for De Kanaries, scoring one goal.

After failing to impress, the centre-forward was loaned out to St Mirren (January 31, 2019 – May 31, 2019) midway into his debut season and made 12 appearances in Scotland, scoring twice. His return to Stayen hasn’t gone well.

Nazon has made only one first-team appearance in 2019/20, racking up just 23 minutes of football. His only goal for Sint-Truidense came in their Belgian Cup win over KFC Duffel (September 26, 2018), so his future may be uncertain this summer.
